Licensed Funeral Director/ Owner
Michael V. Staton, Licensed Funeral Director/Owner, is a second generation funeral director who grew up in funeral service assisting his father with funerals at a young age. He graduated from Butler University in 1991 and from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1992. Mike served his apprenticeship at Hummel Funeral Homes in Akron, Ohio and was licensed in Ohio in 1993. He obtained his Indiana Funeral Directors license in 1995. In addition to his funeral service work, Mike served as an officer in several local organizations. He is Past President and Past Secretary of the Fortville Lions Club, Past President and Past Treasurer of the Mt. Vernon Optimist Club, Past Chairman and current Secretary/Treasurer of the Fortville Christian Laymen Organization. Mike has three children, Jeremy , Dallas and Natalie. The boys graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and Natalie is currently at Mt. Vernon High School. Mike, his girlfriend Angie (Hileman) Grinstead and Angie's daughter Kooper currently reside in Middletown.
Funeral Assistant
Steve Stanley is a lifelong resident of Fortville, who began
his career with Seals Funeral Home & Ambulance Service in 1992. Steve is
also a career firefighter/paramedic with the Indianapolis Fire Department,
having served since 1991. Previously, he
served as a volunteer with the Fortville Fire Department. Steve is a member of the Indianapolis
Metropolitan Firefighters Union Local 416. Steve resides in Fortville with his
wife, De Anna also a Fortville native. They have three children that graduated
from Mt. Vernon High School, Nathan, Olivia and Luke. In their spare time, Steve and De Anna love
to travel and spend time with their grandsons Grayson, Lincoln and Ryker. Steve
enjoys working with and providing comfort to the families we serve in their
time of need.
